This is the last in a 3-part series with "Waterfall" and "Silver Rain".

Dawn

I awake, once more, upon a new day,

The sun gently lifts above the horizon,
The sky clear, the air crisp,
A graceful healing, a cleansing,

The rivers are no longer choked with mud,
New life sprouting, growing,
Rooting where the mighty trees once stood,

Butterflies flit and play upon the air,
Dancing delicately in the gentle breeze,
No more the hapless casualties of brazen youth,

I stand alone upon the field where I once found love,
Even the reminders have been worn away,
Covered over by the ages,

It is time now,
This is my home,
The only place I know,

Standing in the dawn.
