Posemaker

Posemaker at program start. A template skeleton is loaded in, and the variables are presented for editing.
While playing a certain MMORPG that will remain nameless, I found myself in a bit of a dilemna. The game provided the ability to edit almost any game object, including character poses and animations. The problem was, in order to edit the animations, you needed Poser, which costs a considerable amount.

Necessity being the mother of invention, I wrote a program that did everything that I needed quickly and easily. The result is Posemaker. Posemaker is an editor for Biovision (bvh) files. It will open, edit, and save most Biovision .bvh files, especially the ones for that particular MMORPG. While it currently lacks keyframe animation, it does support time-lapse (frame-by-frame) animation, as well as one-frame character poses. I have used it to some considerable effect in this area.

Depending on the level of interest, keyframing and skinning may be added in a later patch.
